Safe Canning Workshop Set


An introduction to safe canning principles will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 29 at the University of Arizona, Yavapai County Cooperative Extension Office, 840 Rodeo Drive, in Prescott. Call (928) 445-6590 for more information.

The workshop will introduce basic food safety principles to properly can foods using the hot water bath method for high-acid foods and the pressure canner method for low-acid foods.  There is a $10 fee for the workshop and registration is required.
