Segment 1
Lane Closure Scheduled – Pilot Car in Use
Segment 1 of the project is located near Payson between milepost 254.62 and milepost 255.94.
Excavation will continue in Segment 1 the week of August 24. During excavation, the highway will be reduced to one lane. Be prepared to stop and wait for a pilot car. A flagger will hold traffic until a pilot car can guide motorists safely through the route. In addition to pilot cars, message boards and temporary signage will be in place to assist in directing traffic.
Excavation, logging and grubbing of stumps will take place between the hours of 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. Crews will not be working Friday, Saturday or Sunday to limit impact on traffic over the weekend. Delays can be expected of up to 30 minutes during peak travel hours. Please allow additional time to reach your destination.
Segment 2
Lane Closure Scheduled - Flaggers to Guide Traffic
Segment 2 of the project is located between milepost 265.61 and milepost 266.69.
The roadway will be reduced to one lane as crews close a limited section SR 87 in Segment 2 near Pine beginning the week of August 24 from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Work will take place behind temporary barricades to provide a safe work zone. Flaggers and temporary signage will assist in guiding traffic through the work zone. Be prepared to stop temporarily while traffic is guided through the route. The closure is expected to be in place through Thursday, August 27. Crews will not be working Friday, Saturday or Sunday to limit impact on traffic over the weekend. Delays can be expected of up to 30 minutes during peak travel hours. Please allow additional time to reach your destination.
