Although times are tough for many, you may still be interested in giving.
But what is the best way to go about giving your money, who is a legitimate charity and how much should you give?
Edward Jones Financial Advisor Ross Hage is hosting a free 60-minute educational workshop entitled “Charitable Gifting” to answer these questions.
The workshop will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 10 at Chaparral Pines Clubhouse, 500 N. Club Drive.
During the workshop, participants will learn more about:
• What assets one can gift and when.
• How to maximize the benefits of one’s gift for both the investor and the recipient.
• How to incorporate charitable gifting into one’s estate plan.
• Payson charities, including: Big Brothers Big Sisters, Humane Society of Central Arizona, Payson Area Habitat for Humanity, St. Vincent de Paul food bank, Sonshine Club, Time Out Shelter and the Whispering Hope Ranch.
The seminar is free, but space is limited.
