- Isla Rose Prock was born to Jared “Joe” and Kelly Prock at 8:40 a.m., Aug. 8, 2009 at Payson Regional Medical Center. She weighed 7 pounds, 11 ounces and was 19-1/2 inches long. Proud maternal grandparents are Buddy and Robin Morris of Payson and Dick and Penny Lundholm of Ivins, Utah. Proud paternal grandparents are the late Kenneth Prock and Tanya Bolin of Queen Creek. She is also welcomed by her uncles, aunts and two cousins Danny, Maureen and Logan Morris of Alameda, Calif., Monte and Amy Morris of Sacramento, Calif., Ricky, Heather and Elise Lundholm of Grand Rapids, Mich. and Justin Prock of Payson.
- Garrett John Prock was born to Angela Dawn Prock and Darrin Kenneth Prock on Aug. 22, 2009 at Payson Regional Medical Center. Garrett joins his 17-month-old sister, Logann Elizabeth Prock. Maternal grandparents are Patricia Jahnke and Kevin John Jahnke. Paternal grandparents are Kenneth Prock and Danny Prock. Maternal great-grandparents are Gerry and Maurice Hatcher and paternal great-grandparents are Jean and Kenneth Grubbs.

- The countdown to the end of August and the summer season is fast approaching. The nights are cooling down to the high 40s. That’s blanket weather! My own personal indicator of the weather changing is that I wear my socks to bed. I have been wearing them for a week now. I am sorry to see the summer end, and especially to the end of stocking of the trout in the creeks. I have been lucky enough to land a few large trout, large enough to stuff with cornbread and crab stuffing and bake them on the grill. Delicious!
