Gardening fans are invited to the 10th annual Arizona Highlands Garden Conference.
This year’s conference is sponsored by the Coconino County Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners and is being held Sept. 19 at du Bois conference center at Northern Arizona University.
This year’s theme is ‘From the Ground Up.’ Topics include teaming with microbes, turning water scarcity into water abundance, native shrubs, how to grow tomatoes, seed saving, year-round greenhouse food production, creating wildlife habitats, moon gardens and integrated pest management in the garden.
Conference registration is $65 if received by Sept. 1 and $80 if received after Sept. 1. Continental breakfast, lunch and snacks are included. Participants may also register for a pre-conference tour of six Flagstaff gardens for an additional fee of $15.
