Walmart was closed for two hours Sunday night after an anonymous caller reported there was a bomb in the store.
Around 5 p.m., police received a call from someone who reported that while at Circle K, they overheard a group of teenagers say they were going to put a bomb in Walmart. The identity of the caller was not determined.
Police responded, evacuated the store and began a search for the bomb.
A bomb-sniffing dog was unavailable because the nearest one was in Globe, so police went through the store checking every area by hand, said Payson Police Chief Don Engler.
After officers found no bomb, the store was reopened around 6:30 p.m. Police are investigating, but no arrests have been made.
