Hello again, fellow Creekers.
Well it looks like most people have their lights up around Christopher Creek and we’ve had a couple of days where we got a little snow. “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.”
Well, until the snow sticks, maybe it’s beginning to “feel” a lot like Christmas anyway.
Christopher Kohl’s Fire Department wishes to thank everyone involved in our recent Thanksgiving Food Drive. We reached our goal of 50 food boxes.
We received generous donations and help from our local residents and businesses in Payson. This has been a gratifying accomplishment in these tough economical times.
We at Christopher Kohl’s Fire Department are blessed to be a part of one of the most caring communities around.
Our special thanks goes out to Greg Bownds, who not only supported our drive, but took on the tough job of fund-raising.
Our food box recipients were thankful and appreciative of this food drive.
We want to wish everyone happy holidays.
I would like to thank Dionne May for helping to provide me with the goings-on over at the fire department so I can help “keep everyone in the loop.”
The Kids Christmas Party, sponsored by the Christopher Creek Homeowners Association, will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 12. Come and see Santa at the Christopher/Kohl’s fire station and hear a Christmas story.
Bring canned or boxed food items to put in the food boxes.
Please let us know if you have children who would like to attend, call Judy Tolle for more information.
Dec. 12 is a busy day. The CCHA also set that date for the quad and golf cart light parade. If you want to have fun, come and join us that Saturday. We meet at the old Landmark. We plan to start at 6 p.m. So, be about 10 minutes early.
We go at an easy pace around the community and end at the Creekside Restaurant. The decorations and lights have been getting better every year!
Many haul their quads and carts, sand rails too, from the surrounding communities.
Cindy Fitch from Creekside would like you to bring an unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots.
Cindy will have hot chocolate and the fire pit outside burning for us when we end our ride!
If you have any questions, call Judy Tolle at (928) 478-0508.
Remember to bundle up!
As always, I do need your help with content and stories. For anyone wanting to submit information from the Christopher Creek area for inclusion in our weekly article, please e-mail me at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thanks again for reading the column.
