Fbi Looking For Bandits That Robbed Compass Bank

The FBI believes an organized group called the High Country Bandits robbed the Payson Compass Bank Nov. 25.

The group has already struck two other northern Arizona banks including the Arizona Central Credit Union in Flagstaff Oct. 14 and the Country Bank in Prescott Oct. 30, said Manual Johnson, special agent with the bureau, in a press release.

In all three times, a man believed to be between 20 and 40 years old pointed a semi-automatic handgun at the bank tellers and demanded money. The man was given an undisclosed amount of money then ordered everyone to the ground and exited the financial institutions with a second suspect, Johnson said.

The first suspect is described as white, between 5’5” and 5’7” with a slight build and wearing dark clothing, gloves, baseball cap, sunglasses and a facemask that covers the lower half of his face. There is no description of the second suspect.

Contact the FBI with any information about the identity of the High Country Bandits, at (602) 279-5511.
