There will be a free flu shot clinic from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, Dec. 11 at Julia Randall Elementary School gymnasium, 902 W. Main St., Payson.
All restrictions with regards to who can receive the H1N1 vaccine were lifted Dec. 7 in Gila County. Anyone who comes into the free vaccine clinic scheduled for Friday, Dec. 11 at Julia Randall Elementary School, or presents themselves at the Gila County Health Department can receive the H1N1 vaccine.
With the onset of flu season, which officially started in October, there has been a tremendous rise in the number of people contracting the flu. As most already know, this is because of the H1N1 flu virus (aka swine flu) which has reached pandemic status. The Gila County Health Department is offering the Novel H1N1 (swine flu) vaccine free.
