In response to JoAnne Mallon’s letter to the editor regarding the Swiss Village lighting ceremony. I am sorry that you missed getting the free hot chocolate we were giving away that evening. I am flattered to see that Payson Pet Care’s free hot chocolate has become so popular that it is considered tradition, even expected. With so many things to see and do in the Swiss Village during the Christmas lighting ceremony, perhaps you didn’t make it to our lobby.
We gave over 200 cups of delicious hot chocolate to our visitors for free that evening, as we have done for 11 years now. The Candle Factory, Payson Florist, and several other businesses had free refreshments available as well. We also were giving away small toys to the children this year. It filled the entire staff of Payson Pet Care with joy to see the toys brighten the eyes of the children and the hot chocolate warm the hearts of everyone.
I invite you to come to our veterinary clinic in the Swiss Village anytime this season for a free cup of hot chocolate. We are open from 7:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. on weekdays, and on Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon. If you have any pets, we have a treat for each of them. If you have any children, we have a small toy for each of them.
Merry Christmas to you! The Christmas spirit lives on in the Swiss Village and throughout Payson.
