Plane crashes at Payson Airport
The pilot of a single engine Cessna made a crash landing Friday morning at the Payson Airport. The pilot and his two passengers, all from out of town, escaped injury, however, the plane wasn’t so lucky.

The pilot of a single engine Cessna made a crash landing Friday morning at the Payson Airport.
The pilot and his two passengers, all from out of town, escaped injuries, however the plane wasn’t so lucky.
Around 8:30 a.m., the pilot was attempting to touch down, when the plane bounced hard off the runway sending it into the taxiway. The plane bounced again on the taxiway and was sent into a ravine. The plane continued west until the nose hit the ground. The plane came to a stop 10 feet from a vehicle in a parking lot on the west side of the campground, said Payson Police Sgt. Les Barr.
The plane was still on its wheels although “there was only one wheel left,” Barr said.
