Remember Homeless Pets This Holiday Season

Boo is a 1-year-old Lab mix. She has been in two previous homes before finally being turned over to us on Dec. 15. Her first home was abusive and she was mistreated. Her second home rescued her from the abusive one, but that home ended up falling through when the people became unable to financially or physically love and care for her anymore. Despite all the horrible things she has been through, Boo is an amazing dog. She is great with children of all ages and gets along great with other dogs. She is housebroken, leash trained and rides well in the car. Boo is ready to find her forever home, because we believe the third time’s a charm!

Esme is a gorgeous, black and gray longhaired spayed female. She came in as a stray on Nov. 12 from Granite Road here in Payson. She has passed her swab and blood tests and is current on her vaccinations. Esme is very affectionate and enjoys rubbing against you for some attention. She even gives kisses. She will require frequent grooming to maintain a soft, smooth, shiny coat.

Kosha is a 2-year-old Shepherd mix that was turned over to Animal Control on Nov. 24. She had just had puppies and her previous owners realized that 10 dogs were too hard to take care of, so they surrendered her to us. She has been spayed and inoculated and is ready for adoption. Kosha is sweet, outgoing and will protect the ones she loves. She is housebroken, leash trained and rides well in a car. Kosha has great mothering skills and does well around children. She is playful with the other dogs and is ready to find her forever home.

Mama is a 3-1/2-year-old shorthaired tabby. She was originally turned over by her owner in May because she could no longer afford to care for her. In August, things seemed brighter for Mama when someone came along and adopted her. However, she returned her on Dec. 17 because she said Mama never came out of hiding unless it was to eat. There was a 1-year-old child in the home, and though she is good with children, she needs to be around older children who are mature and easygoing. She is very sweet and affectionate and will do best in a quieter household.

MJ is a 4-month-old Shepherd mix. She was turned over on Dec. 15 to Animal Control. Her original owner was not able to care for her and did not have anywhere to live. MJ has not received any training, so she will need to go to someone who has the time, patience and desire to train and teach her. She has received all of her vaccinations and is spayed. She has been around children of all ages and loves to play with other dogs.

Rowena is a 2-1/2-year-old domestic shorthaired female. She was brought in as a stray and was previously fixed. Rowena is easygoing and affectionate. She gets along well with kids and other cats. She has passed her swab and blood tests and is up to date on her vaccinations. Rowena is a sweet gal who enjoys sunbathing and lounging around. She will even let you give her kisses! She is ready to find her forever home, and we hope someone will come in and take her home for the holidays.
