E. F. “Mickey” Prindle, 72, of Jamestown, N.D., died Jan. 28, 2009 in Bismarck, N.D.
Mickey McLean was born Aug. 24, 1936 in Rodgers Park, Ill, the daughter of Richard and Cecelia (Carlson) McLean. She was raised and attended school in Benton Harbor, Mich., graduating in 1954.
She worked as a volunteer for various organizations, spreading joy to all she met. She also worked as an executive secretary and business administrator for Clark Equipment World Headquarters retiring in 1985 to care for her ill father in Arizona.
In Arizona she met Donald Prindle and they were married on April 1, 1992 in Lake Tahoe, Nev. They loved and cared for one another for more than 16 years. Mr. Prindle died Oct. 9, 2008.
They enjoyed traveling, collecting and spending time with friends in North Dakota.
Survivors include a son, Patrick Axtell of Arizona; sister, Vicky McQuade of Washington; stepdaughter, Alonda Martin of Texas; and granddaughters, Brittany Axtell and Hannah Axtell of Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Richard “Mac” McLean.
A memorial service was held Feb. 7 in Jamestown, N.D. Interment will be at North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma, Mich. at a later date.
Memorial donations may be directed to the Medcenter One Foundation in Bismarck, N.D.
