The Democratic Women of Rim Country (DWRC) have opportunities available for high school juniors and seniors.

Students of any political affiliation are eligible. Two junior girls will be selected by DWRC, in conjunction with the local American Legion, to receive scholarships to attend the 2009 meeting of Girls State at the University of Arizona in Tucson. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about government.

The DWRC also has two $500 scholarships available for high school seniors, either boys or girls, who plan to attend Gila Community College.
