Joshua William Lee Stubbs died Feb. 6, 2009 after a vehicle accident in Montana.
He was born in Globe and spent most of his life in the Tonto Basin area of Arizona, attending Tonto Basin Elementary and Payson High School.
In 2007 he moved to Dixon, Mont. to be with his mother, sister and brother after the death of his stepfather, David Boyd. He attended Charlo High School and graduated with the class of 2008.
Mr. Stubbs was studying at the Pillar of Truth Bible Institute, he was also involved with the Civil Air Patrol in Arizona, and was in the Charlo High School Choir.
He is survived by his mother, Connie Boyd of Dixon, Mont.; father, Darrell Stubbs of Tonto Basin; grandfather, Bill Stubbs of Globe; sister, Aleacia Landon of Dixon, Mont.; brothers, Nathan Ioli of Dixon, Mont., Daniel Ioli of Phoenix and David John Boyd of Tindall Air Force Base, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Louis Audette.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday Feb. 11 at the Christian Church in St. Ignatius in Dixon, Mont.
Another memorial service will be held at 4 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 15 at the Tonto Basin School.
Memorial donations may be made to SightLife, Pinehaven, Mont. and/or the Tonto Basin School — Little Red Schoolhouse restoration.
