Pot Plants Found On Routine Call

A routine disturbance call Sunday led Payson police unexpectedly to multiple marijuana plants being grown inside a southeast home.

Timothy D. Dickson, 24, of Payson was arrested on charges of production of marijuana, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and misconduct involving weapons, said Sgt. Todd Bramlet.

On Sunday, Officer Jessie Davies was called to a home in the 300 block of east Juniper Street for a disturbance. Upon arrival, Davies discovered several marijuana plants growing inside the home.

Davies called in the special enforcement unit who searched the home and found six marijuana plants and multiple items of hydroponics equipment.

Police also found several items of drug paraphernalia, Bramlet said.

According to court records, Dickson had a marijuana violation dismissed in 2006 in Maricopa County.
