The first time it happens you think maybe it is a fluke, the second time someone throws a rock through your window in the same week, you know it’s no accident.
Twice during the last week, Karyn Nelsen, co-owner of Green Scene Solar, received news of a gaping hole in a front window and glass everywhere at her business on West Main Street.
When Nelsen arrived at work around 8 a.m., Feb. 9, a softball-size rock was sitting in her showroom floor and a front window was broken out. On Valentine’s Day, Nelsen got a call from another Main Street merchant, Andy Kofile of Re-Runs Resale Boutique that another window was broken.
“Whoever threw it, threw it hard because it hit the opposite wall leaving a large hole,” Nelsen said.
Nelsen and Kofile called police who are investigating the incidences.
