Betty J. Klundt died Feb. 16, 2009 at her home in Payson. She was born Aug. 22, 1926 in Chicago, Ill. to Fay and Bessie (Hand) Dollar.
She grew up in Detroit, Mich., later attending Northwestern College in Minnesota and continuing her secondary education in Omaha, Neb.
She found Christian fellowship wherever she went. She was a member of Payson Christian Church, and played the organ for enjoyment for the past three years.
Prior to moving to Payson, she was an active organist in the Lovell Bible Church in Wyoming.
Her greatest love was for her family and grandchildren.
She was married to Richard J. Klundt for 31 years.
She was mother to both Martin (Peggy) Pangburn and Nancy (Dan) Kaplan, and stepmother to Dave (Tove) Klundt, Timothy (Lisa) Klundt, Vicki (Brent) Gellner and Pamela (Mike) Klundt-Ward.
She was grandmother to four grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren. Half-sister Joann Wilson, half-brothers Tom Dollar and John Dollar, and several nieces and nephews, survive her.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 21 at Payson Christian Church, 501 E. Rancho Road.
