Harry, the Christopher Creek ground squirrel, has seen his shadow. You know what that means — winter is over spring is on the way.
We can finally see the ground after all that snow, although there is still some of it lingering around. I don’t know about you, but I am ready for some warm weather.
Ladies, it is almost that time of year again for the Ladies Annual Pajama Party. It is scheduled for Friday, March 13. And I cannot believe it is on Friday the 13th. Oh boy, look out residents of Christopher Creek! It is, as always, at Karen Thornton’s place on Columbine Road.
Those of you who have never attended one, it’s simple. Just wear your favorite PJs and your funny slippers, make your favorite appetizer and head for Karen’s place. Bring along your favorite beverage if you wish.
It is a fun evening where the ladies all get together and talk about everything they can think of. They eat a lot of good food, and gossip a lot, take some good pictures and then they head for Creekside Steakhouse dressed in their PJs for a fun night.
You don’t want to miss out on this. It is always a fun night and we always get a lot of stares from the customers inside the restaurant. Only in Christopher Creek could you go out to eat in your PJs and slippers.
Cindy Finch, owner of Creekside Steakhouse, will be entering the Taste of Rim Country fund-raiser for the Payson Public Library. Rhea Hoedle will be along to waitress for the event. They will be making their special cobbler, along with their BBQ ribs and their homemade salad dressings. The fund-raiser is scheduled for Saturday, March 7 at the library.
Jeanie Moore and Marsha Dalessardro will be adding another candle to their cakes on March 2. Randy Dawson will be celebrating on March 3, and Audrey Treat will be adding another candle to her cake on March 6. Wishing all of you a happy birthday.
