The quilts displayed at the Fourth Annual Rim Country Quilt Roundup Nov. 14-16 were admired by visitors.

There are an unusually large number of quilters in northern Gila County, and many of them participated in the Fourth Annual Rim Country Quilt Roundup in mid-November.

The winners of the quilt show were:

• Miniature Category: first, Small Storm Ahead! by Lisa Brothman, Cottonwood Heights, Utah; second, Leftovers by Joanne Halm, Payson; third, Tempest In A Tea Cup by Barbara Polston, Phoenix.

• Medium Category: first, Down Memory Lane by Joy Lawson, Payson; second, Carnival by Debbie Stanton, Pine; third, Christmas Stars in Payson, Nikki Jones, Phoenix.

• Large Category: first, Stars of the Southwest by Caroline R. Johnson, Payson; second, Posies for Paul by Mitzi Paul, Strawberry; third, Winds of Alaska by Monika Hancock, Pine.

• Wearables: first, French Wine Vest, Evelyn Link, Mesa; second, Desert Fusion, Leslie Peacock, Payson; third, Precious Purse, Joy Lawson, Payson.

• Juniors: first, Leaping Frogs by Kevin Donsbach, Pine.
