A vehicle speeding down Highway 260 rolled at the intersection of Highway 87 when the driver lost control early Friday morning, authorities said.
The driver and the passenger were flown to a Valley hospital with unknown injuries. Police did not release their names or age.
According to Payson Police Sgt. John Heflin, who was on duty at the time and witnessed the rollover, the driver was speeding west on Highway 260 around 2:15 a.m. when they attempted to turn south at Highway 87 but lost control and rolled. The vehicle came to a stop in the southbound lane, south of the intersection, said Sgt. Rod Mamero.
Police are investigating whether alcohol was a factor.
