Stand behind and support Pyle

Editor:
A letter writer’s father taught him about the rationalism of the enlightenment, rather than religion. In other words he taught his desire to promote a secular humanist philosophy using the power of government. He is a revisionist at best and did not teach the truth, for he taught a belief rather than facts.
Our Founding Father were indeed Christians and our nation was based upon Christian faith, precepts and was founded by a rebellious Christian group of people that wanted to live in a nation based solely upon biblical teaching.
“It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded, not by religionists but by Christians, not on religions, but on the gospel of Jesus Christ.” — Patrick Henry.
“Providence has given to our people the choice of their rulers and it is the duty as well as the privilege and interest of a Christian nation to select and prefer Christians for their rulers.” — U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice, John Jay.
In the writer’s desire to promote secular humanist philosophy using the power of government, many liberals have altered America’s Christian heritage, removed religion from its history, and replaced it with the Soviet doctrine of the separation of church and state.
Many liberals are having great success in this philosophy by attacking on our freedom.
This previous writer’s desire is not to safeguard denominational neutrality by the state as the Founders intended, but to eradicate every vestige of religion from our public institutions. Most of these angry people despise God or any morality.
The liberal progressive stance has indeed destroyed most of the churches and religious viewpoints, but not all of it. I stand behind and support Mr. Pyle’s commentary.
