Gene Granville Cooper, formerly of Payson, died July 12, 2009 in Bennington, Okla. He was born Aug. 7, 1933 to Granville and Alma Cooper in Phoenix.
He worked for the Town of Payson for 16 years, retiring in 1995.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
His wife, Wilma Cooper survives him, as do two daughters and five sons; 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers and two sisters.
A memorial service is planned at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 25 at the Mormon Church in Durant, Okla.
Burial will take place at the Payson Pioneer Cemetery at a later date.
