New czars have all kinds of power

Editor:
Some of the newfangled moves in our government have me really confused. These so-called czars apparently have all kinds of power, aren’t confirmed by our elected representatives and aren’t standard U.S. civil service employees. Looks like we are plowing a lot of new political ground here. You’d think our elected representatives would be a bit more concerned about our constitutionally mandated separation of powers between the executive, legislative and judicial branches.
We’ll probably have to wait a bit until some of the luster has worn off our new president before our representatives will feel empowered to ask or act on this matter.
Maybe after unemployment has gone up another percent or two they may speak up or do something. Don’t bet on it though.
