Where’s the water?

I’m not one to write my opinion to a newspaper, but, at this point, I need to know that I am not the only one feeling this way.
I live in Pine. It’s been over a year since the signs came out that “we have water now” and “Water Independence Day.” I had asked at one of the PSWID meetings, if this meant I could have a garden this year. Gullible me, I believed them and for the first time in years, I planted a garden.
Not a big one, but tomatoes, snow peas, lettuce, radishes, carrots, cucumbers, you know, salad stuff to supplement my dinner table. I have been so excited to see everything growing! I had told my neighbors that this is a community garden, to be shared with whoever wanted.
Now we are on Stage 3 and I can no longer water my plants.
We have “plenty of water” I’m told ... but now I have to watch my plants die. I am in tears. What happened to the promises? Where is the water? Strawberry Hollow is on Stage 1, I’m just down the road from them. People on Main Street are watering their flowers. Why can’t I? I accepted this before, but now, why should I? We have water now, where is it?
