Reagan Speaks Out Against Socialized Medicine

On, “Ronald Reagan Speaks Out Against Socialized Medicine” listen to the truth on socialized health care.

Reagan says, “There are many ways that our government has invaded the precincts of private citizens, and one of the traditional methods of imposing socialism on a people is been by way of medicine. It is very easy to disguise a medical program as a humanitarian project. The doctor will begin to lose freedom as first the government decides how many patients a doctor can have as they are equally divided among the various doctors.

Doctors are also divided geographically, so a doctor decides he wants to practice in one town, and the government has to tell him, “You can’t live in that town, they already have enough doctors, you have to go someplace else.” From here it’s only a short step to dictating where he will go.

This is a freedom that no government has a right to take from a human being. Once you establish the precedence that the government can determine a man’s working place and his working methods — place of employment — from here it’s a short step to all the rest of socialism to determining his pay. And pretty soon your son won’t decide when he’s in school or where he will go or what he will do for a living. He will wait for the government to tell him.”

Reagan goes on to say that we should demand of our congressmen 1) no further encroachments on these individual freedoms, 2) governments don’t tax to get the money that they need, 3) that we do not want socialized medicine and 4) that you demand the continuation of our traditional free enterprise system. I urge you to call daily.
