Payson celebrates National Day of the Cowboy with music

Jonell Loeffler, left, and Chris Royer, right, lend their talents to Anne James’ National Day of the Cowboy performance at the Payson Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore on July 25. Businesses throughout the community participated in the event and proclaimed Payson “Wagon Wheel Territory.” In addition to offering free music programs throughout the day, many of the businesses also provided shoppers with specials.
June Fessenden and Bob Pestor of the Arizona Autoharp Association perform at Tom’s Upholstery in the Swiss Village. The association is the largest of its kind in Arizona and is centered in Phoenix. The members of the group organize into small units and perform throughout the state.
Katherine and Joe Miracle were at Western Village with their special brand of country music for Payson’s National Day of the Cowboy celebration.
Eddie Armer, noted performer and one of Rim Country’s pioneer sons, was at Past & Present Boutique.
Wayne Todd performed at Oasis Christian Bookstore as part of National Day of the Cowboy festivities.
