Colonial Cabinets was recently welcomed to Payson with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Colonial Cabinets is located at 1305 W. Red Baron Road #5; phone 478-1010.
The China Wok Buffet is now open at 210 E. Highway 260 in the Bashas’ Shopping Center. The management and staff was recently welcomed with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
SBA meeting tonight
Gila County Small Business Development Center will hold a seminar at Gila Community College, Room 301 Tuesday, June 16, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on “Preparing ARC Loan Program Packages for SBDC.” This seminar will focus on preparing for the ARC (America’s Recovery Capital) $35,000 loans for small businesses. These loans are deferred-payment, and are available to established, viable, for-profit businesses that need short-term help.
They are interest-free to the borrower, 100% guaranteed by the SBA. Reservations: call the Chamber at 474-4515 to reserve your seat.
June Business Buzz
The June Business Buzz will be Thursday, June 18 at Gila Community College, Room 301. The speakers are from ASU’s Morrison Group — Nancy Welch, Associate Director, and Rick Heffernon, of the Global Institute of Sustainability. The topics are: “The Future of Arizona,” “Drivers of Arizona’s Future” and “Opportunities for Arizona.”
Lunch will be catered by Cardo’s and is $8 for Chamber or NGCEDC members, $10 for nonmembers. It will start at 11:30 a.m. with networking (bring cards and/or brochures) and end at 1:30 p.m. Reservations, PLEASE call the Chamber at 474-4515. Everyone is welcome.
2009 Payson Maps
J&H Publishing Company will begin soon to sell advertising for the 2009 Payson and Rim Country Maps. Representatives from J&H will be calling on all businesses to give them the opportunity to advertise in the new map. J&H is the only official map of the Rim Country Regional Chamber of Commerce, and is distributed to visitors, sent with relocation packets, and sent to Chamber locations throughout the state. If you have any questions about someone being the “Official” Chamber map representative, please call the Chamber at 474-4515.
Visitor Center hours extended
With the influx of visitors (“guests” to us at the Visitor Center), we have extended our hours to include Sundays between Memorial Day and Labor Day. As our center is staffed almost entirely by volunteers, we are very grateful to be able to expand our hours with their help
Visitor Center hours of operation are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
