Saturday, friends of Candy Hart showed up at Creekside Steakhouse for an aerial salute to Candy who passed away this year. They released balloons into the air hoping they would reach Candy in heaven. John Matus flew over in his plane.
Talent, art show
The Christopher Creek Talent and Art Show are scheduled for Friday, June 26 at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday, June 27 at 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. at the Christopher Creek LDS Chapel.
The first part of the show will be honoring the veterans. Badges will be given to the veterans; they will be remembering our country, our flag and our vets.
Then the fun part, the talent show. I’ll bet you did not know Christopher Creek had talent! Well you will have to show up to see. The cost is free, and I guarantee you will enjoy it.
July 4th gathering
The 4th of July is almost upon us and Creekside Steakhouse is planning a 4th of July gathering. Music starts at noon and goes until the cows come home.
They will be having hayrides through the community. They will have hot dogs for $1, hamburgers for $2.50, corn on the cob for $1.50, watermelon for 50 cents, and apple pie for $2 and fresh squeezed lemonade for $2. You sure can’t bet those prices.
For the kids, they will have a cake walk, game tables with checkers, etc., a duck pond and anything else Cindy can come up with. And, of course, Christopher/Kohl’s Fire Department will be on hand with their new, shiny, red fire truck for fire wise. Bring your chair, blanket and umbrella and enjoy the day. Vendors are welcome to join in. Contact Carol or Cindy at (928) 478-4389.
Don’t forget Dumpster Day is scheduled for Thursday, July 9 in Christopher Creek.
Don’t forget Sunday is Father’s Day. Show him how much you care. You only get one dad. Learn from him, enjoy him, and treasure him for as long as you have him. I miss mine, but I know he is watching over me in heaven.
Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there.
My friend Nancy Olson will be adding another candle to her cake on June 24. Don Mc Daniels will be celebrating his birthday on June 24 also. Wishing the two of you a happy birthday.
