Realtors from the Prudential Arizona Properties office in Payson collected 35 bags of food totaling 460 pounds for the local food bank earlier this month.
The food and $25 in checks were delivered to the St. Vincent de Paul Food Bank June 2.
Agents walked neighborhoods delivering paper grocery bags and then picked them up later. Some agents even contributed food from their own pantries.
The local Bashas’ supermarket provided the bags to support not only the Payson event but 12 more food drives scheduled for the fall by the Valley network of Prudential Arizona Properties offices.
According to Cliff Potts, branch manager of the Payson office, “I have a great group of sales agents in this office who are always willing to step up and help others. I couldn’t be more proud of them.”
Linda Snep, the Payson office administrator, said the food bank was very excited to receive the food and cash.
“We were told that our food drive was one of the more successful food drives they’ve seen,” she said.
