While camping at Woods Canyon Lake’s Spillway campground recently, I had my Honda 2000 generator stolen in the middle of the night. It was attached to my motor home with a heavy steel cable which was cut.
The sheriff’s deputy and park ranger informed me these thefts are occurring with regularity at all the campgrounds as Honda 2000s are easy to carry and easy to sell. That night the thieves took mine and three more at Aspen campground.
If you have a Honda 2000, you need to keep it hidden when not in use and secure at night. I would also advise anyone buying a used Honda 2000 to get proof of ownership from the selling party.
