After graduating from Payson High School in 2005, Benjamin S. Leininger joined the United States Air Force security forces.
Following boot camp, he was stationed in England at the Royal Air Force Croughton Communication Base. He has been at Croughton for three years, and in that time has married and been promoted to senior airman.
He volunteered for a tour in Kuwait and Afghanistan, which took place in December 2008 and January 2009.
He has been awarded three honors: Airman of the Year for his squadron; Airman of the Year for his base; and Airman of the Year for the Mega Squadron, which represents all of England.
Leininger is nominated for Airman of the Year for all of Europe, an award to be announced in April.
This month he is being stationed in Albuquerque, N.M.
Leininger’s wife, Samantha, and parents, Scott and Patty, along with the rest of his family are very proud of him and his accomplishments.
