Free tax assistance and electronic filing, provided by AARP volunteers in Payson and Pine through April 15, is scheduled as follows: Payson Elks Lodge, Airport Road and Beeline Highway, Payson: Monday and Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Tuesday, 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Gila Community College, Mud Springs Road, Payson: Thursday, March 19, April 2, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.; First Baptist Church, 4039 N. Highway 87, Pine: Thursday, March 12, March 26, and April 9, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

To take advantage of the service, you must bring photo identification, a Social Security card for all persons claimed on the return, last year’s tax return, 2008 tax documents, the record of real estate taxes actually paid in 2008 and Notice 1378, which reflects your economic stimulus payment.
