Payson library has loads of March events for young people

Anime-Manga, a Young Authors program and a video game tournament are all on the schedule for March at the Payson Public Library.
The Anime-Manga program will be presented from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday, March 17 and from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday, March 19.
The program includes: the history of anime and manga; an anime-style drawing contest; a ramen eating contest; two movie showings; Cos-play for Fun — participants are invited to dress up as their favorite anime character.
The movies planned are “Naruto: Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow” at 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 17 and “Mobile Suit GundamSeed: The Empty Battlefield” at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, March 19. The films will be shown on the big screen and popcorn will be served.
For more information, contact Harryette at (928) 474-9260 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday.
The Young Authors program will be held Saturdays starting March 21. The meeting for students in the first- through fifth-grades will be from noon to 1 p.m., and for students in the sixth- through 12th-grades, the program is from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
The Monthly Video Game Tournament is from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Saturday, March 28 and open to those between the ages of 10 and 18 only. Everyone plays and refreshments are served.
The next regular meeting of the Spy Club, for those 8 to 18 who like to read and hang out is from noon to 1 p.m., Saturday, March 14, there will be games and snacks.
