The Tonto Community Concert Association invites its subscribers and the public to celebrate the very best of America’s top pop music with Matt Davenport Productions’ acclaimed show, American Jukebox. The program is at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, March 22 at the Payson High School Auditorium.
The colorful, high-energy spectacular is a two-hour, full-length version of the original 30-minute piece that dazzled audiences for 10 years at the premier entertainment park, Busch Gardens Williamsburg.
A six-piece band rocks the house in ’50s, Motown, disco, country and blues styles, as a cast of six singers/dancers makes the enormous center stage jukebox come alive with lights and sound. Featuring mega-hit songs like “Whole Lotta Shakin’,” “Respect,” “Soul Man” and “Boogie Wonderland,” American Jukebox is a vigorous trip down America’s favorite musical lanes!
Season ticket subscriptions are $80 and single concert tickets are $30 for local residents. For subscriptions or other information, call (928) 478-4363.
This is the next to last show of TCCA’s 2008-2009 season.

Question of the week
Do you think new Principal Anna Van Zile has a valid idea in eliminating the Asst. Principal and replacing it with an Athletic Director position that would share her duties as Principal?
