Spring Soccer

Last call for Youth Soccer! Come have a blast with soccer! Payson loves the sport of soccer, and we want you to be a part of our program. Each child that signs up gets a British Soccer jersey. Divisions will be grades Pre-K–K (ages 4-5); 1st & 2nd; 3rd & 4th; 5th & 6th; 7th & 8th; and 9th-12th.

Coed Softball

Registration Deadline: March 27 Start Date: Mid-April

Age: 16+

Location: Rumsey Park

Fee: $250 per team

It’s that time of the year again to play softball. Join the adult co-ed softball league. Recreation and competitive divisions will be offered as long as a minimum of four teams sign up for each division. A player cannot participate in more than one division.

Battle of Payson

Date: Saturday, April 4

Times: 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Location: Green Valley Park

Fee: Free

A civil war re-enactment with two action-packed battles, war camps and much more. Special appearances by Abraham Lincoln and Robert E. Lee.

Egg Scramble

Date: Saturday, April 11

Times: 9:30 a.m. – 11 a.m.

Location: North Rumsey Park, Rumsey 2 ball field

Fee: Free

The 16th annual Egg Scramble for children ages 12 and under. Children can collect eggs filled with candy. The scramble times are approximate. Times are approximate.

FLW Bass Fishing Tournament

Date: April 15-18

Saturday, April 18th from 3 to 5 p.m. Payson Walmart hosting the final day weigh-in festivities in the store’s parking lot.

Location: Walmart parking lot.

Fee: Free

FLW Outdoors bass tournament to be held April 16 to 18 at Roosevelt Lake with the final weigh-in at the Payson Walmart parking lot. FLW officials say the tournament could draw 200 professional anglers, possibly 200 co-anglers, and have a total economic impact on northern Gila County of $683,200.

Beeline Cruise-In Car Show

Date: April 25

Time: 9 p.m.

Place: Green Valley Park

Come and stroll the park, and prepare to be impressed by over 250 classic automobiles.
