Payson Area Habitat for Humanity will have a ground breaking ceremony for Phase II of Longhorn Village this weekend.
The event will begin with a presentation of the families, a review of Habitat for Humanity’s International, National and Payson area work, plus light refreshments at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 21 at the Payson United Methodist Church sanctuary, located at 414 N. Easy St.
At 3:30 p.m. the ceremony will begin at Longhorn Village. Guests may provide a blessing and best wishes by writing them on a construction wall for each of the five homes under construction. Family members will be present as their prospective new homes are dedicated.
This is the second phase of the PAHH project at Longhorn Village, at the intersection of McLane and Longhorn Roads, just west of the Payson High School parking lot. A third phase is planned to complete the site.
Families chosen for this phase include: Kathy Bickert and her sons Patrick and Christopher; Amber DeWitt and son Ethan; Kellie LaFave and sons Ryan and Brandon; Emily Morton and son Ravin.
