Chili’S Customers Can Help Out Rim Country Food Bank


Chili’s restaurant in Payson is holding a benefit for the St. Vincent de Paul Rim Country Food Bank.

Special fliers will be available to patrons at the door from 3 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, May 13 and at some area churches. Present a flier when paying for an order and 10 percent of the sales will go to the food bank.

The fliers may also be used with to-go orders during the same time May 13. The benefit is only being held at the Payson Chili’s, 900 S. Beeline Highway. Call (928) 468-7036 for additional details.

The Rim Country Food Bank is seeing an average of 50 clients each day it is open, and those clients generally represent families of two to four people.

Representatives from the food bank visited 229 homes in the past year and provided shelter, utility, medical and transportation assistance. A total of 5,574 families, consisting of 17,753 people were provided with food (this includes multiple visits by the same people).

The Rim Country Food Bank is open from 1 to 3 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. It is located at 511 S. St. Phillips St. in Payson.
