Betty Jean Tussing, of Mesa, died May 2, 2009. She was born Oct. 16, 1931 in Cotton Center, Ariz. She was the oldest of five children born to Hadley and Opal Mills.
She and her husband Wayne were married 41 years and they shared seven children. They have owned businesses in Gila Bend, Payson, Prescott and Mesa.
Mrs. Tussing will always be remembered for her kind, sweet spirit. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She will be forever cherished, and missed dearly.
She is survived by her husband, R. Wayne Tussing; their seven children, Robert Bott, Daniel (Joyce) Bott, Charles Bott, Melissa (Harry) Howell, Rodney (Jamie) Tussing, Gregg (Harolyn) Tussing and Kristi (Dennis) Yates; two sisters, Bernice (Bud) Shelton and June (John) Churchman; and one brother, Charles (Barbra) Mills; 22 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded by her parents; one sister, Doris Badders; and one granddaughter, Jenifer Bott.
A viewing will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, May 6 at 1130 S. Horne in Mesa. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, May 7 at The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 5350 E. McLellan Road in Mesa. Burial will be at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements are being handled by Allen Funeral Home of Mesa.
