Editor:
A decade is a long time, and I have 10 years worth of thanks to give to the many who have listened to my news ... and then the forum. I also want to thank those who have been my guests and who have subjected themselves to impromptu questioning by me and the listening audience.
Not much slipped past us. Mostly we learned about the generous and selfless people who work to make this community such a great place to call home. Your input, our discussions and “the collective minds of Rim Country,” as my dear friend and predecessor, Don Holcomb was fond of saying, have made it all worthwhile.
The economy has touched so many of us and I know I am but one of the casualties of the correction. Every business must watch the bottom line and KMOG Radio is no exception.
I am optimistic that this downturn is near its end. I am committed to continue with my efforts on the Board of the Economic Development Corporation of Northern Gila County and the newly formed Payson Rodeo Preservation Alliance. I know that whatever comes to this community in the form of perceived adversity, this community has the the will and the perseverance necessary to prevail ... it is in the very nature of our soul.
I may not be on the air, but I will still be involved. This community is the Heart of Arizona and if Arizona listens to its heart ... All will be well.
Thank you for listening.

Question of the week
Do you think new Principal Anna Van Zile has a valid idea in eliminating the Asst. Principal and replacing it with an Athletic Director position that would share her duties as Principal?
