At least four Walmart employees have been arrested for shoplifting after reportedly giving their fellow employees a discount by skipping over items when checking them out.
Terry Gould, 55, is allegedly the cashier who would skip over various products including alcohol when checking colleagues out at the register. He is suspected of shoplifting at least $326 in merchandise, Payson Police Chief Don Engler said.
Three other Walmart employees knowingly knew Gould was passing over merchandise and were also arrested and charged with shoplifting, Engler said.
William Newell, 52, reportedly stole $223, Eddy Floyd, 60, $53 and Deborah Reiswig, 56, $49.
A member of Walmart management called the PPD to the store on May 15 after the store recorded the employee’s actions, Engler said.
The police reviewed the store’s video evidence and arrested Gould and the majority of the other employees while they were working over the past week, he said.
Police are continuing their investigation and Engler said additional charges and arrests are likely.

Question of the week
Do you think new Principal Anna Van Zile has a valid idea in eliminating the Asst. Principal and replacing it with an Athletic Director position that would share her duties as Principal?
