The Payson Regional Economic Development Corporation announced Tuesday that it has changed its name and location.
The 501(c) nonprofit corporation’s new name is Northern Gila County Economic Development Corporation (NGCEDC). They are located within the Gila County offices at 610 E. Highway 260 in Payson.
The mission of NGCEDC is to encourage quality and sustainable economic prosperity, including higher wage employment opportunities and community improvements that help ensure long-term investments in Northern Gila County said Ken Volz, executive director.
“The name change is more consistent with our organization’s regional charter, which is Northern Gila County, from Tonto Basin to Forest Lakes,” he said.
NGCEDC works directly with Gila County, the Town of Payson, other communities and private businesses to promote and sustain economic success. They assist prospective and existing businesses with demographics and business information resources.
Contact NGCEDC by calling Volz at (928) 978-0681.
