Theme: Best exemplifies the Spirit of May Rodeo. Since the Payson Pro-Rodeo Committee judges decided to disregard the theme of the rodeo parade, I would like to recognize and thank the people who put their time and effort into the Payson Rodeo Reunion float.
We had a rodeo theme, also some Payson heritage. Thanks to Ernie Ralls (Strawberry Hay & Grain); Harry Skill, who designed, built and performed; Barry Beach (grandson of old-time cowboy, Chili Beach); Alva Bishop (grandson of early Star Valley rancher, A.T. Vaughn); Rockin’ Ron Gibson (KMOG, and nephew of Julia Randall); Jinx Pyle (historian, grandson of Floyd Pyle, cowboy); David Thompson (rodeo cowboy, saddle maker); and last, but not least, our bullfighter, Kyle Beach (grandson of Bill Armstrong).
Old rodeo saying — the judges were blind!

Question of the week
Do you think new Principal Anna Van Zile has a valid idea in eliminating the Asst. Principal and replacing it with an Athletic Director position that would share her duties as Principal?
