Pine students honored
Hardworking students who earn As at the Pine Strawberry School receive a Principal’s List Certificate, a lapel pin and an “excellence in honor” medal for their outstanding academic achievement.
Each student and a parent or guardian will also attend a celebratory principal’s breakfast. The following students have earned this honor for the first quarter of the school year: Savannah James, Benny Abney, Sumer Aguon, David Bullard, Dakota Denison, Chandler Lawrence, Josh O’Connor, Caleb Paine, Kara Ward, Adam Jergens, Wesly Goldschmidt and Sarah Sprinkle.
CVCA hosts GCC student art
Cobre Valley Center for the Arts will be hosting a “Student Showcase” that will consist of works by Gila Community College students and other students the month of November.
The artwork displayed by Gila Community College will come from students at the Payson Campus, the San Carlos Campus, and the Gila Pueblo Campus in Globe. Cobre Valley Center for the Arts is located at 101 N. Broad St. in historic downtown Globe.
Gila Community College offers a wide variety of art classes at each of its campuses.
