Hi, my name is Felix. I was brought to the Humane Society of Central Arizona on Aug. 25. Gila County Animal Control picked me up and brought me in. I guess you could say I was kinda arrested.
The folks that work here at HSCAZ are real nice, and they noticed right away I had a sore on my throat. They treated it and we thought it got well, but then I got a big abscess and it was real sore. The girls were so worried, they took me to the vet.
Well, that sweet Dr. Blackmore did a little operation on me and I’m proud to say I’m healin’ up real good. But now I’ve got a big ol’ doctor bill. So, once again, the good ladies and man that work at the shelter have stepped up to help me out.
They are holding a bake sale in my honor, to help me pay my bill. They’re gonna be setting up down there at Bootleg Alley on Main Street for First Friday — that’s tonight. They’re gonna have all kinds of yummy baked stuff, so come and buy some cookies or cake or somethin’ to help me out, OK? I’ll be there too, you know. I gotta do my part since they’re doin’ this all for me.
Oh yeah, and by the way, I’m really friendly, I’m housebroken, I get along good with other dogs and I even like cats. And I walk good on a leash and ride well in cars. So come on down and meet me and my pals here at the shelter.
More about Felix
Felix is a delightful, 10-month-old hound/pit mix. He was brought in by Gila County Rabies Control from Tonto Basin. No one came looking for him, so now this handsome fellow is available for adoption. He acts like a perfect gentleman, knows basic commands and is good with other dogs and children. Felix is easygoing and enjoys walks in the park, and long hikes that stimulate him. He has been neutered and is up to date on all of his vaccinations. Felix came in with an abscess on his neck that required surgery, but is now healing nicely. Felix is one of the most well-behaved dogs we have at the shelter. He is friendly to all and a pleasure to be around.
