PMGA wraps 2009 season with third in Turkey Shoot series

The Payson Men’s Golf Association closed out its 2009 season with a Turkey Shoot Tournament Nov. 4.
This was the third in a series of such tournaments, which will determine which members of the PMGA get to take home a turkey for their Thanksgiving dinner.
The gift certificates for the turkeys and other awards will be presented at the season-ending banquet Nov. 16 at Diamond Point Shadows.
First flight low-net honors went to Phil Wagner, 59; Gary Vaplon, 63; Gary Campbell, 66; and Troy Neal, 68.
Second flight leaders were Dick Hardin, 59; Ed Kuhns, 63; and Popeye Clay, 68.
Honors in the Red flight group went to Roger Poole, 64; Ralph Lindo, 67; Jim Livingston, 69 and Warren Mulcahy, 69.
Closest-to-the-pin were Popeye Clay (No. 2, 12 feet); Jim Livingston (No. 5, 10 feet, 5 inches); Ward Johnson (No. 8, 3 feet, 7 inches and No. 14, 6 feet, 7 inches); and Terry Lindsey (No. 17, 9 feet, 11 inches).
