I am not in the habit of admonishing the newspaper in Payson. Actually, we enjoy reading it. However, Tuesday’s cartoon supposedly referring to Rodin the Thinker I feel was extremely offensive.
Personally, I don’t get into anyone’s politics, as I am a firm believer in supporting the elected president regardless of party affiliation. I think it is shameful to depict President Obama, quite obviously, as a caricature of a monkey!
Whether you like the man or not, this kind of “political” cartooning should not be propagated. This country is so divided by things like this. It is ridiculous. Adding to an infectious disease certainly will cure nothing.
