The Payson Lions Club will present an evening of country music with the tribute show, The Legends of Country Music. Proceeds benefit the Payson Lion’s Charitable Foundations. The benefit concert, by the “King of Country Legends” Larry King, will be at 7 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 21 at the Payson High School Auditorium.
The show is currently on an eight state “Helping One Another” tour. “With the economy, people can’t afford to donate like they once did. We travel throughout the West bringing back to small town America the grass roots of country music, while giving back to organizations 50 percent of the show ticket. This is made possible in part by sponsors,” said King.
Helping the Lions bring the program to Payson are MLV Flooring, The 260 Cafe, Steve’s Pro Lube & Tire Center, Lowery’s Window & Door and Payson Apothecary Pharmacy.
King’s show brings audiences the music of Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, George Strait and many more. The Legends of Country Music is a 90-minute production, complete with more than 30 hits, humor, gospel and a touching tribute to the military.
Tickets are $20 if purchased in advance or $35 at the door.
They are available from any Lions Club Member or at the following locations: Payson Packaging, Rim Country Regional Chamber of Commerce, Dan Goode Flooring, Vita Mart and The Wild Brush Art Gallery & Framing.
