- Just a note to those who wrote to Congressional Representative Ann Kirkpatrick urging her to vote no on the health care bill, there were just as many who wrote in support of health care reform. I suspect (the previous letter writer) didn’t vote for Ann Kirkpatrick in 2008 or he would know that health care reform was a prominent Democratic platform plank. Those of us who support a Christian ethic of caring for our neighbors hope that intelligent senators will also vote to support health care reform.

- During the 15 years we have lived in Payson, there have always been flags placed on the graves of the many veterans laid to rest at the Payson Pioneer Cemetery. This Veterans Day there were no flags placed on those graves. The large flag was not displayed at half-staff.
