Gwynnal “Gwyn” Thompson, born Nov. 22, 1930, died Nov. 18, 2009.
Mrs. Thompson was born in St. Michael, Neb. to Herbert and Helen Brookens. She moved to Michigan as a child and graduated from Union High School in 1949.
She married her sweetheart, Monte Thompson in Denver, Colo. in 1950. They moved to Payson in 2000.
Preceding her in death were her parents and only daughter, Lynn. Mrs. Thompson is survived by her husband, Monte; sons, Ross Thompson, David Thompson and Alan Thompson; grandchildren, Corey, Chele and Brian; sister, Jane Miller of Michigan; brothers, Galen and Norris Brookens, both of Michigan.
Mrs. Thompson was an active member of the Ponderosa Baptist Church and an avid quilter and seamstress, belonging to the American Quilters Guild and the local chapter, The Shoofly Quilters.
